How to forward a text message to SafeScan

Forwarding a suspicious text message received on your phone or other mobile device is easy, though the method may vary depending on the device your have. Some older devices use a different method for this, and most manufacturers include those various options on their instructions page, usually through a drop-down menu. Third-party messaging apps and services like Mighty Text also have their own setup for forwarding messages. Generally, you just open the messaging app, tap and hold the message in question until the option to forward appears.

How to send a social media post
or contact to SafeScan

Currently, there is no way to directly forward a questionable post from social media platforms like Facebook or Twitter to SafeScan. However, SafeScan can still help with these posts, especially with the growing number of scams on social media platforms.

Without clicking on any links in the post, just drag your cursor over the entire post, highlighting it, and copy the text – CTRL + C in Windows, Apple Key + C on a Mac. Open either your email or a text application, paste the contents into the window – CTRL + V in Windows or Apple Key + V on a Mac, then email or text the message to SafeScan and we will let you know the results.

NOTE: Almost all messages on Facebook warning that your page our account is about to be suspended for things like copyright or community standards violations are phishing scams.
